About
Ashley Christensen doesn't start with the brief. She starts with the person.
Growing up with a therapist mother and a writer-activist father, understanding what makes people tick wasn't a methodology, it was dinner conversation. That early fluency in human motivation led her to study psychology and motivation, and eventually into a career built on one belief: the best marketing doesn't push. It resonates.
Now a creative and content strategist with 14 years of experience, Ashley is the person who can hold the business goal in one hand and the creative execution in the other, and make them speak to the customer. She's worked across Google, Toptal, dentsu, and the startup world, helping complex brands translate real customer insights into marketing that actually moves: sharper messaging, campaigns that connect, content systems that scale.
Ashley is the person to call when:
The product is great but the story isn't landing.
The team is talented but the work keeps stalling.
The market has shifted but the message hasn't caught up.
That gap between what a product does and what a customer feels is where she works.
If that sounds familiar, she'd like to hear about it.
“Ashley has that rare superpower: she makes brand management feel like a growth lever, not a paint job.
At Toptal, her ability to stitch together a cohesive narrative across messy teams and shifting priorities helped us scale quickly and intelligently. This was deeply appreciated as we launched new verticals where strong brand conviction was needed.
When launches went off the rails or priorities collided, Ashley didn’t just hold the line. She brought the clarity that allowed everyone to move forward. She thrives under pressure, stays grounded always, and keeps teams focused on building what matters. ”

What colleagues have to say…
Mike Condrick, Executive Creative Director
“Ashley consistently provided smart, strategic insights that bridged the gap between business vision and creative execution.
She had a unique ability to translate complex marketing concepts for cross-functional teams and leadership, ensuring everyone understood not just what we were doing, but why it would drive business results.
She brought clarity to complex situations, asked the hard questions that moved projects forward, and created processes that actually stuck, making everyone's job easier and more effective.
Ashley was a "real straight shooter" who spoke her mind freely yet respectfully. She gave thoughtful, actionable feedback on creative work that I genuinely valued and respected.”
Will Ulbricht, Director of Social Media
Ashley has a gift for taking broad thinking and collapsing it down into something people can actually act on.
Joyce Oloresisimo-Arpon, Project Manager
“Without breaking a sweat, Ashley walked clients through her thinking, backed her strategies with data and research, and concluded the strategic recommendation with how it would achieve their business goals.
She has the ability to break down complex problems and provide achievable and realistic action items. And provides the best strategy by never losing sight of how it'll work for both the business and end-user.”

Beyond the Work
A recent transplant to Seattle, I spend my free time learning to embrace the seasons, building community, and instilling a love of books and learning in my two little ones.
I'm energized by exploring spaces and places that give me glimpses into how others live. Through travel and books I seek out opportunities to dive deep into understanding why we are the way we are, and what motivates people and cultures.
Books that left me thinking in 2025:
The Women - by Kristin Hannah
James - by Percival Everett
The Lion Women of Tehran - by Marjan Kamali
